"we do not want to copy nature. we do not want to reproduce,
we want to produce. we want to produce like a plant that
produces a fruit and not to reproduce. we want to produce
directly and not through interpretation."
(Hans Arp: concrete art, in: arp. On my way. poetry and essays
1912-1947, New York 1948)
Since 1977, the Stiftung Arp e.V. has overseen a great part of the artistic legacies of the Franco-German sculptor Hans Arp and his first wife, the Swiss artist Sophie Taeuber-Arp.
